Atlantis shower systems are compliant with the provisions of the New Zealand Building Code.
Wet Area Membrane
The Atlantis Roll-on Membrane has been appraised as an Alternative Solution to meet the following provisions of the NZBC:
1. AFM-WM Waterproof Membrane: Branz Appraised Certificate No. 461 (2005)
- Clause B2 DURABILITY: Performance B2.3.1 (b), 15 years.
- Clause E3 INTERNAL MOISTURE: Performance E3.3.6. Interior wet area floors; also Functional Requirement E3.2(c)
- Clause F2 HAZARDOUS BUILDING MATERIALS: Performance F2.3.1.
The following BRANZ performance tests have also been undertaken:
2. Membrane Junction to Atlantis Base - Branz Adhesion Testing DC 1076 (2005)
3. Junction Durability - Branz Adhesion Testing DC 1127 (2005)
Atlantis Toughened Glass
NZ Safety Standard (AS/NZS 2208)
The glass used in the manufacture of Atlantis showers is toughened glass and has been tested to meet the NZS 4223 Part 3 1999 Safety Standard.
All Atlantis Shower Screens and glass components have the safety standard permanently etched on the outside edge of the glass panels (see image to the right.)
